It's Father's Day

Got him on my mind more than usual. Love and miss him very much.

My Father was a bit of a car enthusiast and I have certainly inherited his petrol-head gene.

He owned two MGB GT's, two Bentley's, and he acquired one of the last Series 3 Type Jaguars to roll off the production line in 1973 for £3,500.

He then asked a policeman mate of his on which vehicle the plate 'KBJ 1' was registered, turned out it was to a Farmer who owned a tractor in Great Yarmouth.  They agreed on £25, and my Father told the farmer he could keep the tractor!

He also acquired the 'matching' 1 KBJ plate for the 'runaround' car.

Eulogy to my Father

Just over eight years since his passing, someone recently asked me about my Father which prompted me to find my Eulogy to him, which I have.  What a guy :-)
